ABOUT

Bettina Jackson earned a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Howard University.  She has more than 25 years of experience working with elementary through high school aged children.  She has also provided services for adults in hospitals, long-term care and home settings.

Ms. Jackson is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).  She is licensed to practice speech-language therapy in the State of Maryland and Washington, DC.  Ms Jackson has earned a Certificate of Telepractice Compentence. She is an affiliate member of the National Aphasia Association.

Ms. Jackson has experience working with a wide range of clients that have speech or language difficulties that include:

• articulation

• phonology 

• receptive and expressive language

• auditory processing disorders

• pragmatic / social skills 

• fluency

• aphashia​

• swallowing/dysphagia

• cognition

She has also provided clinical fellowship supervision to share her knowledge with clinicians new to the field. She continues to learn more in the field by completing  continuing education workshops and courses each year.
